JAMES PINSKE
My role is to guide you through that process with clarity and structure — so you feel supported, informed, and confident in the choices you’re making.
Buying a home involves important decisions, new information, and real emotions. It’s one of the few financial commitments that is both deeply personal and long-term.
About

Life in Sooke

Living and raising a family here keeps my advice practical, patient, and grounded in real life.
Sooke has been home since 2017. My wife and I are raising our two boys here, and like many families in the community, our time is split between work, school activities, weekends at the park, and afternoons at the ball field.
Based in Sooke, I work with families across Vancouver Island and throughout British Columbia. Living here gives me a firsthand understanding of the pace, priorities, and values that matter most to local homeowners.

Public Service & Leadership
Since 2012, I’ve worked with the Government of British Columbia in IT and leadership roles. That work continues to sharpen my focus on accountability, systems thinking, and practical problem-solving.
Real Estate Insight
Later, I became a licensed Realtor, gaining firsthand understanding of the home-buying process from the other side of the table. It gave me perspective on negotiations, timelines, and how decisions feel in real time.
Financial Services Background
I began my career in financial services with RBC, advising clients on mortgages, investments, and everyday banking. That experience shaped how I think about risk, long-term planning, and financial clarity.

Professional Perspective

Taking the time to understand your goals — not just your rate — allows me to offer guidance that fits your situation today and continues to make sense years from now.
Beyond mortgages, I co-own a portrait photography business focused on toddlers and young families. That work keeps me connected to the everyday moments that matter most to the people I serve.
